PGA Jr League Golf
For girls and boys, ages 8 - 13, the PGA Jr. League is like "Little League" for golf.
For youth with some golf experience that are developing skills. Teams of 6 to 10 players from a local area. Each team practices with a local coach once per week at a local golf course. Teams compete in league matches with other teams in the same league or with other leagues. Match format is two person scramble for 9 holes. Last year, the Grass Roots Golf League had 4 teams.
At the end of the regular season, an "all star" team is selected for the post season. The All Star team would play in an area, regional, and then state championship. Last year the Grass Roots Golf League All Star team were the Washington State champions. They lost to the Oregon State Champion team in the Northwest Regional match.
